Data we collect
We collect account information such as your email address and hashed credentials. We also collect API usage metadata needed for billing, support, security, and rate limiting, including model names, token counts or usage units, timestamps, account identifiers, API key identifiers, request status, and related error or billing metadata. We collect IP addresses and similar technical data for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
API request content
ChinaAPI does not store the content of API requests beyond transient processing needed to route the request, return the response, enforce safety and abuse controls, and operate the service. Upstream model providers may process request content as required to provide the requested model output.
How we use data
We use collected data to create and secure accounts, authenticate API requests, meter usage, bill credit balances, detect abuse, apply rate limits, provide customer support, troubleshoot service issues, send transactional email, and comply with applicable law.
Processors and service providers
We use service providers to operate ChinaAPI, including payment providers such as Stripe, Cloudflare for CDN and security, and Brevo for transactional email. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to ChinaAPI, subject to their own legal and security obligations.
No selling of personal data
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with processors, upstream model providers, professional advisers, or authorities where needed to operate the service, process payments, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable law.
Retention
We retain account and billing records for the lifetime of the account and for any legal minimum periods required for tax, accounting, payment, security, dispute, or compliance purposes. We may retain aggregated or de-identified usage statistics that do not identify a specific user or account.
Your rights
You may request access to your personal data or deletion of your account by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where required by applicable law, payment rules, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate security needs.
